Based on a blog from ComicVine.com I wanted to post about my first comics memories. I knew this would be way too long for Twitter:
My memory would have to go back to 1990 and Roger Rabbit from then Disney Comics. I used to get Disney Adventures magazine and the they had comics every month. I don't remember where the book came from - a spinner rack or a now long gone comic shop in San Jose, CA. I read through that book tons of times. Then picked up other comics mostly cartoon based. Back to the Future, Sonic, Mickey & Friends, etc. I wanted to know more about my favorite movies or cartoons once the program was over. It wasn't till Batman Returns in 1992 that I really liked The Dark Knight! I don't remember seeing Batman in 1989. A family friend loved the movie and so I watched it. But, I remember Batman Returns with my Dad in a dumpy Morgan Hill theater. I would wait once a month to go to the Flea Market with my family and go straight to the comic book stands. At that time I began looking for the titty books that became popular. I'm still surprised those guys used to sell the busty covers and swimsuit specials to a junior high kid.
I kept reading the cartoon based stuff for a while then in high school I got my first pull box and previews catalog. That was the trouble! That PREVIEWS catalog had to be laced with the freshest coke - cuz I was hooked and it was BAD! I ordered like a mad man! I wasn't even reading the books I really like comics for the art. I was just getting covers that looked cool and mostly with busty chicks. I ordered ALL kinds of stuff and didn't even remember half of the stuff till I look at it now. I do remember liking SPAWN, Witchblade, The Darkness, & Danger Girl. I didn't subscribe to Batman or any of the Marvel stuff. I liked Image! It was gritty and full of BIG TITTED SUPER HEROES! I was a super horny fucker! I still loved super hero movies and watched most of them. When my parents marriage began to die I had to help with all that mess and went to the comic shop less and less. On a wonderful side note: I just stopped going for my pull box and those guys used to call every week. Like I said it was full cuz I had no value of money.
I kept collect J. Scott Campbell covers and some other books every now and then. I started college and my mom was given an offer of FREE comics from her dentists brother that was becoming a born again christian. He wanted to clean himself of his addiction - I got an van full of long boxes and sports cards for FREE!!
I haven't done anything with them till now. I only started to seriously get back into comics in the past 3-4 years. I'm actually reading all the issues and really love some key characters.
Batman - still my fav!
Iron Man
Spawn
Witchblade
and a few others.
I like the characters in Batman and Iron Man that are normal humans that became superheroes. I never really like the Mutants or Supermen in most of the comic world. I respect them and know most of the basic history but - don't read them normally. I'm really getting into the collector side of comics. Since I always like the artistic side of comics - I LOVE COMIC CONS! You get to meet the creators and artists! You can get personal sketches of your favorite characters and talk face to face about the stories! Its really great! I'm totally back into comics and so sad I missed out on almost 10 years of great books!

I think I'll be in less trouble is I have a wedding photo posted along with the Playmate shot. Denise and I got Married on July 10th, 2009 in Norwalk, CA. Then we had the wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on July 11, 2009. It was a crazy weekend!
NAMM 2009

NAMM 2009 with August 2008 Playmate Kayla Collins. She looks so happy to be sitting and posing for fat slobs all day long. It was a fun show. I had never been at the NAMM Con before. Its a music industry trade show. I went again in January of 2010 and meet another playmate. Playmate of the year 2009 Ida Ljungqvist. I'll have to download the photo another time.
